Climate Beneficial Haori
About: Designed with references to a traditional Japanese jacket worn over a kimono, this Climate Beneficial Haori was made for daily use. The closure method resembles that of a traditional Haori, where the band needs to be turned inside out to tie the inner closure strings together, otherwise it remains hidden within the jacket when open.
The Climate Beneficial fabric is grown and processed within California. With cotton on one side and wool on the other, the weight and texture of the material keeps you warm, comfortable, and well aerated. Climate Beneficial materials integrate carbon sequestration methods into soil in the ways that the crops are grown and managed. Lani’s Lana offers Fine Rambouillet Wool in combination with CA Cleaner Cotton™ grown by Gary and Marie in the San Joaquin Valley via California Cloth Foundry.
Ordering: Once you place your order we will begin creating your product. Production can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks since it is washed, cut, and hand sewn by one individual.
Sizes: XS - XL. Please use our measurement guide for reference. This jacket is meant to be wide. The XS measures 24.5” across the center, and 19” in length (from shoulder to bottom seam) each size will go up 2” accordingly.
Customization: We are able to customize your sleeve length. Please see our measurement guide for instructions, you’ll be able to submit before adding the item to your cart.
Dyeing: While we cannot offer regional dye materials or services, we recommend you send your item to a community natural dye bath or try a natural dye experience yourself! See our resources pages for workshops or allocating your own materials.
